Not only have we, at ELFA International, played a pivotal and defining role in the field of Education and Livelihood – our key concern areas, but have also forayed and intervened in the field of Health and Medical Infrastructure of the UT on more than one occasions. To our hat belongs the feather of being the very first organization in J&K to reach out to people in times of COVID-19 pandemic.
ELFA International from day of the lockdown after the outbreak of Corona Virus started promptly responding to this emergency of unforeseen order. At ELFA, we were very quick and innovative in our response and we employed local tailors especially women to make 50,000 triple layered washable face masks and 29,000 Personal Protective Equipment. Not only this, the organization also distributed 78,000 Hand Sanitizers, Hand Gloves and Sanitary Napkins, local authorities including District Development Commissioner and Mayor of Srinagar City appreciated the timely response of the organization through formal letters of appreciation and tweets. Last 2 weeks of March 2020 organization distributed thousands of Face Mask, Hand Sanitizers, Hand Gloves and PPEs etc. ELFA International has also been actively providing logistics and health care systems to the concerned department and has recently provided two Advance and Life Support ambulances to sub-district Hospital Trehgam, Kupwara and Primary Health Centre, Kaechwari – Khansahib, Budgam. These are state of the art furnished ambulances catering to the remotest areas of the aforesaid districts.
At ELFA International we have been regularly organziaing health camps cross the UT to reach out to people from diverse geographic and economic backgrounds and to provide them not only the standard medical treatment but to bear out there medical equipments too.
