Addressing various aspects of health including Menstrual Health Management (MHM) initiative that aims to educate individuals about menstrual hygiene and challenge social stigmas surrounding menstruation. ELFA International works to ensure that people especially adolescent girls have the necessary knowledge and manage their monthly menstrual in a dignified and healthy way.
ELFA International often collaborates with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to create sustainable solutions. Distribution of menstrual products, conduct workshops on menstrual hygiene, advocate for policy changes, and support on menstrual health. The efforts of ELFA International help break taboos, reduce period poverty, and empower individuals to manage their menstrual health effectively. The work contributes to promote gender equality, ensuring the well-being of individuals, and fostering inclusive societies.
ELFA International conducted a detailed survey on Menstrual Health Management (MHM) in 4 districts of the Kashmir Valley namely, Kupwara, Srinagar, Budgam and Bandipora, the detailed report has been shared with some potential donors and organization is expected to start a full-fledged program on MHM, during the current fiscal year organization organized several awareness programs in Srinagar and Kupwara, also distributed reusable sanity napkin kits among 50 young girls
