Working alongside YOUTH, WOMEN, CHILDREN and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their Economic and Social DIGNITY and their fundamental rights. ELFA International is a not-for-profit organization with no religious or political affiliation. It operates as an independent association believing in partnering with like minded people and organizations/donors that provide it with human and financial resources, manage its projects and implement its actions and social mission.
WHOLE SCHOOL SAFETY
ELFA International in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha implemented the COVID-19 Safe Schools Pilot Programme and trained a total of 18265 children directly & through teachers, Parents, VECs and SMCs on School Safety, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Child Protection, COVID-19 IPC/SOPs, WASH and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), 2511 Teachers from 202 schools, 3131 Parents, VECs and SMCs and 39 Government Officials were trained directly on School Safety, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Child Protection, COVID-19 IPC/SOPS, WASH and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). Foot-operated hand-washing station & Face Masks and Liquid Hand Washes were distributed in 05 districts (Kupwara, Baramulla, Srinagar, Jammu and Doda) whereby 45 schools were developed as model schools.
HUMANITARIAN (IDRRR)
ELFA International responded to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency by distributing 1000s of Face Masks, Hand Sanitizers, Hand Gloves, Sanitary Napkins, PPEs, etc. The local authorities including District Development Commissioner and Mayor of Srinagar City appreciated the timely response of the organization through formal letters of appreciation and tweets
