Iftikhar is a businessman, always involved in social work and has supported poor communities in the Kashmir Valley during 2005 earthquake, 2014 floods and 2016 turmoil. Iftikhar has been voluntary State Coordinator for AWWA an NGO from Karnataka coordinating/implementing their relief/emergency projects in the state of Jammu and Kashmir
