Capacity Building
ELFA INTERNATIONAL has partnered with the State Government and other stakeholders to strengthen community actions and respond to the demands of the community. Collaborating with multiple actors and thematic sectors to collectively work in synergy is an effective way to address complex civic issues. It's also commendable that ELFA INTERNATIONAL has integrated gender elements and capacity development of colleges, schools, universities students and faculty members and community-based organizations (CBOs) NGOs.
It's inspiring to know that ELFA INTERNATIONAL has achieved a significant milestone this year by addressing the most challenging civic issues of women's rights and equal participation, overcrowding in public transport, and harassment of women/girl students in buses. It's important to recognize that multidimensional quality of life change, economic development, healthcare, primary education, environmental protection, gender equality, and local governance are interconnected. Achieving sustainable change requires a simultaneous movement across all these dimensions.
Inter-sectoral collaboration between government, society, and all other stakeholders like communities, CSOs, expert organizations, and donors can synergize best practices by coming together on one platform to resolve the challenges of transformation. It's encouraging to know that ELFA INTERNATIONAL has organized several events, meetings, and workshops throughout the year to discuss and address the issues faced by women in Jammu & Kashmir.
